More Kingdom, More Craft
The best Dominion sessions are the ones where no two turns feel the same — where the kingdom constantly surprises you, where a single well-timed purchase reshapes the whole table. Cornucopia & Guilds is built exactly for that feeling. It rewards players who diversify, who plan ahead, and who know when spending a little extra now pays off in a big way later.
Two Expansions, One Box
Rio Grande Games has packaged the 5th and 8th Dominion expansions together in this updated second edition, replacing eight kingdom cards and the Prizes from the original printings. Together, Cornucopia and Guilds add 26 new Kingdom cards to the Dominion ecosystem.
Cornucopia leans into variety — its cards actively reward you for having diverse card types in your deck rather than doubling down on a single strategy. Guilds introduces coin tokens that carry over between turns, letting you save up and spend at the right moment, along with cards that become significantly stronger when you invest a little extra on purchase. The two expansions complement each other naturally: one challenges how you build, the other changes how you spend.
Who Should Pick This Up
This expansion is aimed squarely at Dominion players who already love the base game and want fresh strategic territory to explore. It plays with the same player count and session length as the core game — two to four players, roughly 30 minutes — making it easy to slot into any existing game night. The added mechanisms add a meaningful layer of decision-making without dramatically increasing complexity, so it's accessible to intermediate players while still offering experienced Dominion fans genuinely new choices to navigate.
What's Worth Noting
This is a second edition — eight kingdom cards have been revised and the Prizes removed, making this the current definitive version of both expansions. The production quality matches the rest of the Dominion line: clear iconography, sturdy cardstock, and cards that sleeve well for long-term play. The coin token mechanism from Guilds is a tactile highlight, adding a small but satisfying physical element to the table. Note: this box is an expansion and cannot be played on its own — you'll need the Basic cards and rulebook from the Dominion base game to play.
