Please allow 3 - 5 business days from the time your package arrives back to us for a refund to be issued.

Thank you for shopping with Boreal Gaming & Cards. We want every purchase to be a great experience, and we've put together this policy to make our return, exchange, and refund process as clear as possible. If you have any questions not covered here, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Please note: If your order has an error or has been previously cancelled, please do not refuse courier delivery. Refusing delivery may cause delays in processing your credit or refund.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Unused and unplayed, in the same condition as received
  • In the original, undamaged packaging (including shrink wrap where applicable)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
  • Initiated within 21 calendar days of the purchase or delivery date

Returns that meet the above criteria are subject to a restocking fee of 25% of the product value. This fee is waived for items that arrive defective, damaged in transit, or incorrectly shipped — see the Defective or Incorrect Items section below.

Pre-Order Cancellations

All pre-orders are final once placed. We do not accept cancellation requests for pre-ordered TCG products — including booster boxes, collector boosters, booster packs, and any other sealed product ordered ahead of a set's release date. Pre-order prices are locked in at the time of purchase — meaning you're protected from any price increases between order and release. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:

  • Trading Card Game (TCG) products — including sealed booster packs, booster boxes, collector boosters, Commander precons, and individual singles. This applies to both in-stock purchases and pre-orders. Pre-ordered TCG products cannot be cancelled or returned under any circumstances.
  • Sports cards of any kind
  • Opened or played games, miniatures, or accessories
  • Items damaged through customer use, misuse, or improper storage
  • Digital products, gift cards, or store credit
  • Final sale or clearly marked clearance items

 

Exchanges

We gladly accept exchanges on unopened, unused products within 21 days of purchase, accompanied by proof of purchase. An exchanged item may be swapped for any other in-stock product or returned for store credit at our discretion.

  • If the value of the replacement item exceeds the item being returned, you will be required to pay the difference.
  • If the value is less than the item being returned, the difference will be issued as store credit.

Exchanges must follow the same return authorization procedure outlined below. TCG and sports card products are not eligible for exchange.

Missing or Damaged Components

If a game you purchased from us is missing components or contains damaged pieces, we recommend contacting the game's publisher directly to request replacements. Most publishers offer free replacement parts through their website's support or contact page, and can often ship replacements to you quickly and at no charge.

If you need help tracking down the right publisher contact, reach out to us and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Please note: missing or damaged components on an otherwise intact, complete product do not qualify for a full return or exchange.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a description (and photo if possible) of the issue. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping where applicable.

Please do not ship a defective or incorrect item back to us without first obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number — unreturned or unauthorized shipments may be refused.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To start a return or exchange, please contact us by email and include the following:

  • Your full name
  • Your order ID number
  • A list of the item(s) you wish to return or exchange
  • The reason for the return or exchange
  • Photos of any damage, if applicable

Once your request is reviewed and approved, we will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please clearly mark this number on the outside of your return package and ship it to:

Do not send items back without an RMA number. Returns received without prior authorization may not be processed.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original method of payment within 3–5 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to post the credit to your account.

Refunds are issued for the product value only. Original shipping charges and any applicable restocking fees are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error (defective or incorrect item).

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return is the result of a defective or incorrectly shipped item, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
