Heat: Pedal to the Metal is the Days of Wonder racing game that captured the feel of 1960s Grand Prix motorsport with an elegant card-driven system that rewards both planning and nerve. Legends is its newest expansion, and it does something targeted and meaningful: it overhauls the automated driver system entirely. Six new Legend drivers — each drawn from the expanding Heat universe — are introduced as fully realized AI competitors with distinct behaviours and advanced abilities. They slipstream, draft, and corner with purpose, and their adjustable difficulty means the challenge scales with you rather than becoming familiar and easy to predict.

This isn't just more content layered on top — it's a mechanical upgrade to how automated opponents play. Seasoned Heat players who've grown comfortable managing the existing AI will find Legends a genuine reset of expectations.

Who Is This For?

Heat: Legends is for Heat: Pedal to the Metal owners — it requires the base game to play. It earns its place at the table in two specific scenarios: solo sessions where you want real opposition rather than a stand-in, and multiplayer races where you need to fill out the grid or simply want the field to push back harder.
