Theme & Gameplay

At the heart of Wild Gardens lies the harmony between nature and nourishment. As a player, you’ll venture into the wilderness to forage for wild ingredients like fiddleheads, mushrooms, herbs, and berries. You’ll use these ingredients to craft meals that appeal to a rotating cast of guests—each with unique preferences and personality quirks.

But Wild Gardens isn’t just about collecting ingredients—it’s a dynamic balance of action selection, engine-building, and set collection. With three interconnected boards representing the natural world, your own foraging trail, and the guest gathering area, every decision affects the whole ecosystem of play.

Your turns will involve choosing from multiple strategic actions:

• Forage to collect specific ingredients from the wild

• Prepare meals using your gathered ingredients

• Serve dishes to visiting guests to earn reputation

• Explore new cards to enhance your foraging or cooking abilities

Each guest served boosts your reputation, and some offer special abilities or game-altering bonuses. The first player to reach 60 reputation triggers the final round—and the most admired wild chef wins!
