Squaroes Boulder Deck Case 100+: The Hobbit Thorin Oakenshield

A Deck Box Worthy of the Lonely Mountain

The Ultimate Guard Squaroes Boulder Deck Case 100+ brings together one of the hobby's most trusted deck box lines with the iconic imagery of Thorin Oakenshield — the dwarf king whose stubborn determination to protect what matters most feels entirely appropriate for a box tasked with guarding your best build. This isn't a novelty item dressed up in licensed art; it's a legitimately well-engineered deck case that happens to look exceptional on the table.

Capacity & Sleeve Compatibility

The 100+ designation means this box is sized for a full 100-card Commander deck in single sleeves — the format it's most at home in. The generous interior accommodates a sleeved main deck alongside tokens, basic lands, or a small sideboard without feeling cramped. Double-sleeve compatibility is not confirmed for this model, so players running double-sleeved builds should size up accordingly. For single-sleeved Commander, cEDH, or 60-card constructed decks with room to breathe, the fit is dialled in.

Build Quality & Closure

Squaroes represent Ultimate Guard's next generation of Boulder construction — and that lineage means something. The shell is notably rigid, resisting flex and crush in a bag without sacrificing the slim profile players expect from a Boulder. The secure closure keeps the lid firmly shut during transport while remaining easy to open one-handed at the table — a practical balance that competitive and casual players alike will appreciate. This is a box designed to be opened hundreds of times without the closure ever feeling worn or loose.

The Squaroes Difference

What sets the Squaroes line apart from earlier Boulder generations is its refined shell geometry and updated construction — a meaningful upgrade for players who've trusted the Boulder family through years of FNMs, GPs, and kitchen-table Commander nights. The Thorin Oakenshield artwork is integrated cleanly into the design, making this a genuine collector's piece for fans of Middle-earth and serious players in equal measure.

Who Should Pick This Up

This box is built for the Commander player who wants their deck protected with the same conviction Thorin brought to Erebor. It's also a standout gift for any Tolkien fan who plays TCGs — Magic: The Gathering, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, One Piece, or any other 100-card format. Ultimate Guard's reputation for long-term build quality means this is a deck box you'll still be reaching for years from now.
