Arriving August 2026, Skybound brings the high-impact action of Invincible and the survival-driven world of The Walking Dead into OverPower's team-battle system, alongside characters from the acclaimed series Birthright and Excellence. Across the full release, 36 new playable characters enter the game — expanding the roster for both Legacy veterans and players discovering OverPower for the first time.
Each Booster Display Box contains 36 packs of 17 cards, delivering over 600 cards per box — and a guaranteed average of 3 to 4 Rare and Ultra Rare foil subset cards per display for collectors chasing premium pulls.
How OverPower Plays — and Why Every Card in the Pack Matters
OverPower's core structure has always set it apart: players form teams of four characters and compete through a series of battles, aiming to knock out all of the opposing team's characters or complete their Mission cards. The Skybound release is fully compatible with both Modern and Legacy formats, meaning new characters slot directly into existing rosters for players who already have collections built around Invincible and other recent sets.
The booster pack design reflects a deliberate philosophy from LRG: every card in a pack is playable, with no filler. Each 17-card pack is built around two randomized Character Stacks in the Common slots — 12 cards total — giving you two immediately usable characters per pack regardless of what else you pull. Four Uncommon slots round out the strategic depth of each pack with specials, events, and support cards. The Rare slot carries the cosmetic chase — foil treatments and Ultra Rare subset cards that sit at the top of the pull pyramid. Foundational Power Cards, Mission Cards, and Training Cards are deliberately excluded from boosters to keep the pack experience focused; those essentials are available through Starter Decks and the Power Card Station.
