Go Out Fast or Pay the Price
The crowd is watching. Your sponsors are watching. Every card you hold onto is a risk, and in Maskmen, the wrestler who clears their hand first takes home the glory — while the last one standing gets handed the dreaded minus-one token. It's a small-box game that delivers big moments of sweaty-palmed decision-making in under twenty minutes.
Luchadores, Light Tactics, and a Lot of Pressure
Oink Games — known for crafting clever, compact card games that punch well above their weight — brings the drama of professional wrestling to your table in Maskmen. Six colourful masked wrestlers are debuting this season, and over four rounds of competition, players race to shed their cards before anyone else. On your turn, play one to three cards featuring the same wrestler type to build their strength and move closer to going out. Pass if you must, but every pass leaves the door open for someone else to claim the top point token first. The round ends the moment only one player remains with cards in hand — and that player earns the minus point for their trouble.
It's fast, tense, and just complex enough to reward the player paying attention to what everyone else is holding.
Who This Is For
Maskmen plays two to six players and is at its electric best with a full table. The rules click into place within minutes, making this an excellent choice for game nights that need a quick opener or closer, families with older kids, or anyone who wants a competitive card game that doesn't require an instruction manual marathon. It sits firmly in the light category — easy to learn, quick to play, and easy to convince newcomers to try.
Big Fun in a Tiny Box
True to Oink's signature style, Maskmen arrives in a small, beautifully designed tin that slips into a jacket pocket. The card artwork leans into the bold, theatrical aesthetic of lucha libre with masked wrestler illustrations that give each round genuine personality. The point token system is simple and tactile, keeping score visible and the pressure real throughout every season of play.
