Magic: The Gathering Meets the Final Frontier
The Star Trek Universe Beyond set boldly takes Magic: The Gathering where no card game has gone before. This crossover release drops four Commander preconstructed decks themed around one of the most beloved sci-fi franchises in history — spanning Starfleet, Klingons, the Borg, and the far corners of the galaxy. Universes Beyond has become MTG's home for high-profile crossovers, and Star Trek is one of the most anticipated entries in the lineup. With iconic characters, starships, and lore translated into card mechanics, expect flavour-forward designs that feel true to the source material while functioning as genuine Commander decks. Card details are subject to change ahead of the November 2026 release, but the scope is clear: this is a full Commander deck bundle built for fans of the franchise and MTG players alike.
What's in the Box
This listing includes all four 100-card Commander preconstructed decks from the Star Trek Commander series. Each deck arrives ready to play straight out of the box — no deck building required. Alongside the four decks, you'll get 10 double-sided token cards to support gameplay, four deck boxes for storage, four strategy guides to help you understand each deck's game plan, and four reference cards. Whether you're picking up all four to explore every corner of the Star Trek universe or splitting them with friends for your playgroup, the bundle covers every theme in the release. Specific deck names, commanders, and colour identities are yet to be confirmed at time of listing — details will be updated as Wizards of the Coast releases official information ahead of the November 2026 launch.
Who Should Pick This Up
This bundle is aimed squarely at Commander players who want a ready-to-play experience rooted in Star Trek's rich world-building, as well as collectors drawn to the Universes Beyond treatment and the crossover appeal of seeing Trek characters rendered in Magic's iconic card frame. Gift buyers will find this an impressive all-in-one purchase for any Star Trek fan with a Magic habit — or any Magic player with a Trek habit. Commander is MTG's most popular format worldwide, making these decks immediately relevant for most playgroups. Format legality for these precons follows standard Commander rules; Universes Beyond cards are legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage. Please note: this is a presale item with an estimated ship date of 16 November 2026. Card details including rarity and card names may change ahead of release.
