Magic: The Gathering | Reality Fracture Prime Playmat - Planeswalker 1 (alt design1 )Jace, fractures of reality

Fractures of Reality, Rendered in Full

This is Jace as you rarely see him — caught mid-unraveling, the fabric of reality splintering around him in cascading geometric fractures. The Reality Fracture Prime Playmat (Planeswalker 1 — Alt Design 1) from Gamegenic presents a striking alternate-art interpretation of Magic: The Gathering's most iconic blue Planeswalker. Deep blues and cold violets fracture into sharp angular planes, with Jace's form emerging through the chaos — part illusion, part inevitability. It's dramatic, detailed, and unmistakably MTG.

Built for the Table, Not Just the Display Shelf

Gamegenic constructs their playmats with a smooth cloth surface that lets cards glide cleanly whether you're making deliberate land drops or rapid combat math. The weave is tight enough to prevent cards from catching mid-shuffle, while remaining soft underfoot of your sleeves. Beneath the surface, a thick rubber base keeps the mat locked in place across any table — kitchen, kitchen table, or FNM store floor. The edges are stitched, which means the surface won't fray or curl with regular transport and use. That stitched border is the mark of a mat built to last through years of play, not just a few weekend tournaments.

Dimensions and Practicality

At the standard single-player size of 24" × 14", this mat fits comfortably in front of you at any game table and meets the footprint expected at most local event play. It rolls cleanly for storage, and pairs well with any standard playmat tube for transport to game nights, local game stores, or weekend events. No folding, no creasing — roll it up and you're out the door.

For the Jace Fan, the Blue Mage, and the Collector

This alt design is exactly what it sounds like — a fresh artistic take that separates it from the standard card art you've seen across thousands of games. If you run blue control, if Jace has closed out more than a few of your games, or if you simply want a mat that draws eyes across the table before a single card is drawn, this is a strong pick. It also makes a genuinely thoughtful gift for the MTG player in your life who already has the staples but doesn't yet have this on their table.
