Description

Kupo or Be Kupo'd

There's a moment in every round of Moogle Bounty Mayhem when the table erupts — someone's carefully laid plan collapses, a bounty flips at exactly the wrong time, and suddenly those smug little pompom-waving creatures are running the show again. It's chaotic, it's funny, and it's exactly the kind of game that pulls everyone back for one more round.

Moogles on the Run

Square Enix brings the beloved Moogles of the Final Fantasy universe to your tabletop in this light, fast-playing bounty-hunting game. Players take on the role of hunters chasing down the most wanted Moogles across a board full of shifting targets, surprise events, and plenty of opportunities to undercut your fellow hunters. The Final Fantasy theming runs deep — fans will spot familiar references woven into the art and card design — but you don't need to know a Cactuar from a Chocobo to dive right in and have a great time.

The core loop is quick to grasp and hard to master: claim bounties, outmanoeuvre your rivals, and make sure the Moogle you're after doesn't slip through your fingers at the last second. Luck and timing matter, but so does reading the table and knowing when to pounce.

Who Should Hunt These Moogles

This one is built for groups of two to four players, and it hits its stride with three or four around the table. The rules come together quickly, making it a strong choice for family game nights, casual get-togethers, or as a warm-up before a heavier session. Younger teens and adults will feel right at home, and Final Fantasy fans of any age will appreciate the attention to detail. Expect sessions in the 30-to-45-minute range — short enough to squeeze in twice.

What's in the Box

Square Enix has put real care into the production here. The Moogle artwork is vibrant and full of personality, and the components carry that signature Final Fantasy polish. Cards are illustrated with care, bounty tiles are chunky and satisfying to flip, and the overall presentation makes it a game worth leaving on the shelf where people can see it — and ask about it. It's the kind of box that starts conversations before it's even opened.
