Steamforged Games – Warmachine MKIV

Steam, Steel and Sorcery

Steamforged Games is the studio behind Warmachine, the fast-paced miniatures wargame of warcasters and towering warjacks. Under Steamforged, Warmachine returned with MKIV, a refreshed edition with updated rules, new factions and redesigned models, making it a great time to start a new army or rebuild an old one. If you like aggressive, tactical games where every model matters and a single well-timed spell can swing the battle, Warmachine delivers. Warmachine games move quickly and reward bold play, and the MKIV rules streamline the action so new players can learn the basics in a single game. Whether you're returning to the Iron Kingdoms after years away or discovering the setting for the first time, there's never been an easier moment to jump in.

Start with the MKIV core rulebook and a command starter or battlegroup box for your chosen faction. Popular options include Khador's Old Umbrey, the iron-clad forces of Cygnar, the invading Orgoth Sea Raiders and the Southern Kriels Kithguard. From there, expand with warcasters like Eiryss, Shadow of Retribution and Alexia, Queen of the Damned, plus solos and units that let you tailor your force to the way you like to play. Because Warmachine armies are relatively small, it's an approachable game to collect and paint. See our full Warmachine collection for every faction, and pick up The Army Painter paints and primers to get your models battle-ready.
