One Coat. Striking Results.
Ghoul Green is a bold, cold-toned green that brings skin, cloth, and carapace to life in a single application. As part of The Army Painter's Speedpaint 2.0 range, it combines a vibrant basecoat colour with a built-in shading formula that flows into recesses, leaving highlights naturally on raised surfaces. The result is a tabletop-ready finish straight from the pot — no separate wash, no layering required unless you want to push it further. It is one of the fastest ways to get models off the shelf and onto the battlefield looking genuinely good.
What Is Speedpaint 2.0?
Speedpaint 2.0 is The Army Painter's second generation of their one-step painting system, refined to address reactivation issues that affected the original formula. Apply it over a white or light grey primer, and the paint self-shades as it dries — pigment settles into the recesses while the raised areas retain a lighter, more saturated tone. Ghoul Green suits undead flesh, alien skin, corrupted vegetation, troll hide, and any model that calls for a sickly or unnatural green. It works equally well as a speed-paint solution for large batches and as a base layer for painters who want to add highlights or edge work on top once it has fully cured.
Who It's For
New painters will find Speedpaint 2.0 one of the most forgiving ways to get colour onto a model — the self-shading formula does a lot of the work automatically, and the results hold up well at tabletop distance. Experienced painters use Speedpaint colours to knock out rank-and-file units quickly, saving their detail work for characters and centrepiece models. Ghoul Green in particular is a useful addition to any palette working with undead, greenskin, or xenos armies across any miniature wargaming system.
