Your Mission, Your Organization, Your Rules
SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence was one of the most acclaimed strategy games of 2024 — a deeply satisfying eurogame built around real science, rotating planets, and the quiet thrill of uncovering something extraordinary in the cosmos. Space Agencies, the first expansion from Czech Games Edition, takes everything that made the base game exceptional and reshapes it from the ground up with asymmetric play. Now every player at the table comes to the mission differently, armed with unique tools, distinct starting advantages, and their own way of reading the stars.
Whether you represent a government research network, a private tech company, or something in between, your organization defines your approach long before the first probe ever leaves Earth. This is the expansion SETI players have been waiting for — one that doesn't just add more content, but genuinely changes how the game feels to play.
New Organizations, New Aliens, New Depth
The heart of Space Agencies is its eleven asymmetric organizations. Each one comes with its own unique abilities, strategic advantages, and opening conditions that push you to plan differently, prioritize differently, and compete differently. Paired with the Quick Start cards — which let players bypass the slower early-game setup and dive into the action immediately — the organizations also make low-player-count sessions feel tighter and more kinetic from the very first round.
Beyond the organizations, the expansion introduces three brand-new alien species, each with its own rule sheet, alien cards, and unexpected mechanical twists that change how discovery unfolds. More than forty new project cards inspired by real-world space initiatives integrate seamlessly into the base game deck, broadening the card pool without disrupting the game's natural flow. Rounding things out are Signal Tokens — a focused new mechanic that enhances scanning efficiency in ways that feel organic to each organization and alien encounter. Rival action cards for each new alien species ensure solo and competitive players alike get full use out of everything in the box.

For the SETI Player Who Wants More
Space Agencies isn't padding — it's a genuine evolution of the SETI experience. The asymmetry it introduces gives returning players a reason to approach every session as if it's their first, and the Quick Start cards make it meaningfully easier to get experienced players up to speed without the drag of a slow opening. If your group has put serious hours into the base game, this expansion is a natural next step.
