Doorway to the Red Star — Pathfinder Adventure Path: Strength of Thousands #5
The penultimate chapter of the Strength of Thousands Adventure Path pushes your characters to the edge of the known world — and beyond it. Written by Michael Sayre, Doorway to the Red Star sends a group of Magaambya-trained adventurers through a planar gateway into the scorching, alien expanse of the Plane of Fire. After four volumes spent mastering the magical traditions of Golarion's most storied arcane institution, the stakes have never been higher — and the landscape has never been stranger.
This is the fifth of six volumes in the Strength of Thousands campaign, which follows students and eventual teachers of the Magaambya, a legendary magical academy in the Mwangi Expanse. By this point in the campaign, player characters are powerful, seasoned, and deeply tied to the school's traditions and politics. Doorway to the Red Star escalates that story dramatically, introducing a threat that stretches across planes and demanding everything your group has learned along the way. Alongside the main adventure, the volume includes new rules options, monster stat blocks suited for high-level encounters, and additional Pathfinder lore to enrich your table's experience.
This is an adventure module for the Pathfinder Second Edition system — it is not a standalone product. You will need the Pathfinder Core Rulebook (and ideally the preceding volumes of Strength of Thousands) to run and play this adventure. It is written for Game Masters guiding a group through an ongoing campaign, designed for characters who have grown through the earlier chapters of this path. If your group has been with the Magaambya since the beginning, this is exactly the high-stakes, high-magic payoff that arc has been building toward.
