Renegade Game Studios built Clank! into one of the most beloved push-your-luck deck builders of the last decade — and the Expeditions line exists to keep that dungeon crawl feeling fresh. Temple of the Ape Lords is a standalone map expansion that replaces the board from the base game, introducing new mechanics and layout that change how you plan your heist, manage your noise, and — most critically — make your frantic escape. You still build your deck, still generate clank that fills the dragon's anger bag, and still race to get out alive with as much treasure as possible. But the temple changes the calculus in ways that keep veterans on their toes.

This is a map expansion, not a full standalone game — you'll need a copy of Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure to play. If you already own the base game and want a reason to pull it back off the shelf, this is exactly that reason.

Who Should Pick This Up

Temple of the Ape Lords is aimed squarely at existing Clank! fans who've worn out the original board and are hungry for a new challenge. The Clank! system plays well at two to four players, with three or four delivering the most chaotic, competitive fun. It's a medium-weight game — genuinely approachable but with enough strategic texture to reward experienced players — and sessions typically run between 45 and 90 minutes.
